In April of 2010, Mariner Real Estate Management bought a majority interest in Cohen Financial. MREM will utilize the strategic partnership to help create value for clients by offering a wide arrange of real estate services from investment management, debt advisory, debt and equity placement, as well as loan administration.

Founded in 1978, by B.B. Cohen, Cohen Financial is a national real estate capital services company and an originator of commercial real estate debt and equity transactions.  In addition, Cohen Financial services $4 Billion in commercial real estate loans.  Jack Cohen, B.B.’s son, has led Cohen since 1991 and has made Cohen Financial a leader in the commercial real estate mortgage industry with 8 offices throughout the United States.
